Hi there. I am trying to find out more about my father's family so that my sons, aged 15 and 21, can know a bit about their family history.I was born Heather Macrae in Reading, Berks in 1951. My father was Robert Macrae, whose family originated from Nairn. He had a sister Jean, who was Matron of Loughborough General Hospital when I was young and a number of brothers. One was Charlie, who lived near Reading. Another, I believe, was called Afleck Ronaldson and lived with his wife Molly in Carlisle. He had little contact with his family, having moved to Reading via car factories in Coventry. He was in India in the army during WW2.

My Macrae grandparents were Liza and Rab and moved south to Poole-In-Wharfedale, Yorks in their later years.

I would be very happy to receive any information about the family.

With best wishes, Heather

I would be grateful for any information
