I am trying to connect with any McRae's that might be related to Daniel Nathaniel McRae or John Alexander McRae that migrated to Scotland, Georgia, McRae, Georgia (Wheeler County or Montgomery County) around 1820 - 1840. I would like to know about the family that stayed behind and give you details of the family that came to America.

Please find a copy of the Kendall Family of Georgia. Think it will answer mosst of your questions, or e-mail Leon Folsom who lives in Georgia, who I believe I remember is of that line. If you need his address to write him, please let me know.

I was wondering if the John Alexander McRae is the same that was born abt. 1815 in Scotland and migrated to Canada with his wife Mary McLeod. They had a son named Angus McRae and another possible son Alexander McRae. Unfortunately, I don't have any information on the family that stayed behind at this time.
