I have your Donald MacRae born approx 1809, died 29 Jan 1855 in my tree, plus his father and mother. I'm not sure how helpful I can be but perhaps you could let me know what details you are looking for?

Hi Terry Treacy, thank you for your information on Donald MacRae, I am researching the family history, my fathers grandfather John Donaldson married Mary MacRae, her grandfather was Donald MacRae that you have in your tree, I assume we are distant relatives? Another relative who was brought up by his grandmother informs me that we are related to Sir Hector Archibald MacDonald and I am trying to confirm if it is from the MacDonald side of the family or the MacRae side as Hectors Grandmother was Anne MacRae from the Black Isle any information would be appreciated and vice versa. maldonaldson@yahoo.ca
