Hi there,

I am looking for any possible information on JOHN MCRAE, apparently born 1722 in Kintail, Scotland and died 1802 in Bundaleer Reservoir, South Australia.

It appears he married ELIZA KELLY and had children including ALFRED MCRAE, EMMA MCRAE, JOHN FRANCIS MCRAE and WILLAMINA MCRAE.

Any information would be gratefully received!

Best wishes,

Hi Georgie. John McRae, a Scot, was born C 22 feb 1822 in Scotland. He passed away on the 3rd Sept 1902. so your dates are 100 years "out".
He died alone whilst on his "buggy" enroute to his home at Gulnare SA. He is buried at the GEORGETOWN cemetary and has well over 500 descendants here in Australia. Mostly in the state of South Australia.
I think your Dad is Gary McRae? All the best.
John Fredrick McRae, LEWISTON SA.
ANY family members needing more information, PLEASE EMAIL ME at:
PS WILLAMINA McRae is NOT listed in our Tree?
