Does anyone have any history on Macraes moving from the Black Isle/Beauly/Kirkhill area to Kintail? I have read somewhere there was a mass movement of Macraes from this area to Kintail but I can no longer find it.

Any thoughts? Thank you.

In The History of the Clan MacRae by The Rev. Alexander MacRae published in 1910 but I believe is a book compiled in the late 1800s he refers to the MacRaes coming from Beauly Firth. See Chapter 1 page 5. If you want more detail on the book contact me at stuart.mcrae@rogers.com
