My GGG Grandmother was Mary McRae who married Murdo Matheson in parish of Urray , Ross and Cromarty on 3rd April , 1830 . On the marriage certificate it says that Murdo is from Glenorrin but Mary's home is very hard to read - it could be Corrievuic which I see from a detailed OS map is at the head of Strathconon . She died on 21 May , 1895 in Knockbain , Black Isle , aged 90 . Mary's parents were Alexander Mcrae ( crofter ) and Mary McGregor. I also see from the 1841 census that there were several Mcrae families residing at Corrievuic . Can anyone help me confirm if Mary is from Corrievuic or point me in the right direction ?
Cheers,
Larry
