I am enquiring on behalf of my cousin who was born Chere MacRae on the west coast of BC. Her father was Christopher and he had siblings named Peggy, Jock, Duncan and several others. His parents both had the last name MacRae, though they were not related. They lived in a place she thought was called Marin or Aaron or something similar.Chere was adopted as a baby by Jack Pearce (husband of her mother Etta). She is 72 years old and interested in finding out about her birth family. Thanks for any and all help with this..Suzy R

Hi Suzy
I have just done a quick check this morning on the BC Archives site for a Christopher MacRae. There was a Christopher MacRae that passed away in a town called Anyox.....he was 47. This town was 128K north of Prince Rupert. If you go to this site it will give you the number of his death cert. which can be used to view the death cert. at the library. This may help to locate the family depending on who signed the death cert. Also the BC government will do adoptee searches for a small cost. Hope this helps you! You can email me at pipermcrae@shaw.ca if I can be of any help to you.
Cheers
Gail McRae
