Oh drat...I lost my first post... Hi again Gord.
I believe Mr. McRae (Donald) died here in Agassiz BC. Somewhere I found some information on a McRae family & they are listed as Agricultural Labourers...so I thought perhaps that might be translated as a groundskeeper. I am going to borrow a book of Agassiz history and see if I can find out more. All I really know is that at some point he worked for Lord Aberdeen and when Lord Aberdeen came through Agassiz at some point...perhaps the late 19th century or very early 20th...Mr. McRae met him....a little hotel was built here by the McRae's & it was called the Aberdeen hotel. I do appreciate you looking for me and again, I apologize for being kind of a cyber-bull-in-a-china-shop. I will get back to you with more information.
Regards,
Andrea
