Blessings to looking for my MacRae family who emigrated from Kintail, Scotland and settled in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. At least, 3 children immigrated to Huron County, Ontario.

3 siblings:

Mary MacRae 1825-1883
Roderick MacRae 1826-1890
Isabella "Bella" MacRae about 1829-1906

They were all born in (Baddeck or Middle River) Victoria County, Cape Breton, NS. Their parents were from Kintail, Scotland. They were related to the men who built the ships that sailed to Australia and New Zealand.

Mary married Neil Bain MacKenzie (1821-1921) c.1848 in Middle River, Cape Breton. Neil's parents were Ian "John" Bain Gruen MacKenzie (b. Applecross 1782- d. Middle River 1855) and Margaret MacDonald (d. Pictou 1893).

Roderick married Christina MacDonald (1836-1913) c. 1856 in Middle River, Cape Breton. Christina's father was Donald MacDonald.

Bella married a Mr. McKay

Hoping you might have something on this family. Mary and Neil are my 3rd great grandparents.

Thank you in advance,

Cherie Tobon
