Clan Macrae was represented at The Buenos Aires Tartan Day Parade 2007 which took place on April 15, stepping off from the Yacht Club Puerto Madero and marching around Dock 4 for 16 blocks with banners and following the "Crann Tara" that summoned all the clans present at the parade.
A traditional Scottish opening ceremony took place including the casting and bussing of the colours of Buenos Aires by the selected lad and lass of the city. Various Scottish interest groups followed the pipers of the Buenos Aires Scottish Guard that led the parade and a group adhered to the celebrations of the year of Highland Culture 2007 displaying ribbons with the symbolic colours of the logo.
Eduardo Macrae was the Convener of the parade and the Scottish immigration into the country was remembered and music played to entertain the people.
From left after the parade we saw: Josefina Macrae de Basavilbaso, Teresita Oliden wearing a scarf with the Argentina District Tartan, Andres Macrae and Geoffrey and Linda McRae a couple from New Zealand now living in Buenos Aires.
