The Hamilton Cosmopolitan Club, Hamilton, New Zealand was the venue for the Tartan Day celebrations on the 4th July 2004.
The event was organized by Ross McClennan, Chiefs Lieutenant of Clan MacLennan and proprietor of Hamiltons Scottish Shop Scots Corner.
A street march lead by the Te Kuiti and Hamilton Caledonian Pipe Bands started the festivities which were attended by eight clan representatives and their members.
A past Mayor of Hamilton, Margaret Evans, officially opened Tartan Day and then the entertainment commenced. We were entertained by Celtic Fusion, Shenanagans, John and Shirley on the Harp and Fiddle, Jessica Highland Dancing and many more acts filled the afternoon.
Sales tables provided by Scots Corner and Ken Weeks Scottish Imports, were very popular.
Sue and Kevin Tregoweth and Doug and Isabel MacRae had a very enjoyable day representing Clan MacRae.
