After several tries, Clan MacRae of North America was the Honour Clan at the revived Tallahassee Celtic Festival and Highland Games in April. Dan McRae, a Director of the Clan MacRae Society of North America, is an organizer and officer of the Festival, and Commissioner John Wayne McRae came over from Jacksonville to help out.
Dan reports that all went off well, and the MacRaes made a good show, with Captain John, Laura Belle and others in attendance. The Clan MacRae Society of North America heard universal praise for the event, especially the organization and the venue for the clan booths.
Dan passed along the following communication from the Organizing Committee:
"We wish to thank all the patrons, sponsors, athletes, clans, pipe bands, re-enactors, entertainers, vendors, volunteers and committee members who made the April 19 Games & Festival a wonderful success. So many people did so much work and contributed so greatly, it would be difficult to recognize everyone. So again we simply say: Thank you, all you exceptional people!"
