At the end of May 2007, 10 cadets from the BlackWatch spent a weekend at the Sheriffmuir Monument as a part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
The railings at the front were chipped and wire-brushed and then painted with gloss black paint. The area around the monument was also litter-picked and almost six black bags filled and taken away for disposal. The paved area inside the railings was weeded and sprayed.
The Clan MacRae Society wishes to thank the cadets for a good weekends work which has greatly improved the experience for visitors to the monument.
